Carefully selected music
Music is very important to your nap as it is the main vehicle for the nap sound track. It also plays an active role in the process and condition your mind to receive the benefits. We have selected the best composers to accompany your in this nap. We currently use the following great music in addition to our own compositions: music from the MusictradeVA collection ('Birds' by Doc [Finland], 'Awl I can say' by KraftiM [Holland], 'Eleventh of Eleventh' by Frags [Sweden], 'Hollow lands' by Softspace, 'Helsinki' by Unknown Forces).
If you are an artist and want to distribute a relaxation track, contact us at: music@napsounds.com. We welcome upcoming artists and are in the process of putting in place a web site dedicated to relaxation music. So let's get in touch!
NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programmic)
The scripts have been written with great care using NLP techniques. They provide ways to directly talk to your subconscious mind while letting your conscious mind slowly drift away. This enables you to feel more relaxed in a shorter amount of time and increase the benefits of your quiet time.

Binaural beats
Please note that To enjoy binaural beats you need to wear stereo headphones. Using any form of speaker will mix the left and right signals and greatly diminish the effects of binaural beats.
Binaural beats are a way to directly influence brainwaves using natural frequencies. The brain is always in action and resonates with different frequencies. Some of those frequencies correspond to sleep, some to meditative states, to alert state or concentration. By studying brainwaves we were able to find the right mix of frequencies that will first induce a relaxed and sleep state (during the first phase of the track) and then boosts your alertness and concentration during the second phase of the track.
Binaural beats are created by used two slightly different sine waves. One present to the left ear the other to the right ear. This is why you have to wear headphones to enjoy the full benefit of the nap, this will avoid hearing of the right channel into the left ear. Your brain will interpret the difference in frequencies and internally generate a specific beating frequency. This new frequency will then slowly induce the desired mind state and help you relax. The second phase of the track is equivalent to caffeine in your mind and will boost your alertness. Even better, you cannot feel the ill side effects of drinking coffee (increased strain on the heart)

Tibetan chants and singing bowls
Tibetan masters have developed a technique of throat singing. They use it to lead prayer ceremonies so everyone can hear, follow and join in. In this specialized form of chanting, the voice's upper partials are amplified and the chanter can produce multiple distinct pitches simultaneously.
Tibetan bells and singing bowls are devices used in meditation and relaxation by monks. They are specially tunes for best impact on the human body. As in throat singing, singing bowls are multiphonic instruments, they can produce multiple harmonic overtones at the same time.

Other sound effects
"Artificial waves" (white sound): We have used computer generated sounds for some ambient sounds. This gives us more flexibility in generating custom naps. White sounds are also ideal to block outside sounds, enabling your mind to concentrate on the relaxation.
Natural sounds: The nature has so much to offer, this is also a great way for our mind to let go and detach itself from your direct environment.
